Jupiter Saves the Day

I have been asked about the many benefits I have received during a grand cross between transit Saturn, transit Neptune opposing my natal Saturn and progressed Saturn, my nodes, my ascendant and the transit Moon filling in the grand cross.

The was a difficult grand cross. This grand cross fulfulled what is called the "Natal Promise". The natal chart tells us what may happen in life; it makes a promise that things will come to pass. Saturn making a return to natal Saturn and triggering a natal square between Saturn, the ascendant and the nodes told me that something was coming up. Saturn triggered the "natal promise" of Saturn, square to the ascendant, and the nodes. Many teachers say that an aspect may not manifest if it is not a repeat of a natal chart aspect. I have found this to be true, more often than not.

The thing that saved me in the case of the Saturn return bringing loss to my home is transiting Jupiter in Sagittarius. I am having a Jupiter return, and Jupiter in my natal chart is in good condition. Jupiter acts as a protector in this case and lessens any loss, in fact, it brings benefits, which I have seen on a daily basis.

On May 3, the day of the fire, transit Jupiter was in my 8th house of other people's money, and brought monetary benefits from other people, as well as insurance. After Jupiter retrograded back into the 7th house, the money stopped coming in, and the focus was on other people, not just their money. By the time Jupiter goes direct and back into the 8th house, most of the paperwork will be done and money will come in once again.

My birth data is 12/23/47 1:50 PM, Manchester, CT

The Uranus opposition to Mercury in the 8th, the ruler of 2nd house of finances shows that money comes to me in unusual ways, that it is a windfall or a downfall, and that astrology is a source of income, but I don't depend on money coming only from my profession. I attract things in the blink of an eye, sometimes too many things!

I normally have a positive attitude anyway, although Saturn ruling the Sun in Capricorn can make me dour, pessimistic, and critical at times. I'm working on that. The positive grand trine in my natal chart, (Sun, Moon, Mars), makes it easier for me to look for good outcomes. Grand trines can be lazy, and I will attest to that. It took a fire to force me to clear out the clutter.

As a Capricorn with Saturn square Node/ASC, I'm not surprised you begin your profile with "I've been an astrologer for over 35 years." You do things properly!

Doing things properly gets me in big trouble sometimes. When people first meet me they see the pleasing Taurus ascendant. When they really get to know me they see the proper Capricorn - do it by the book, don't make waves, don't act out. I catch myself thinking, it's ok for people to be outrageous as long as they don't act out in public!! It's funny but at my Saturn return, I'm becoming more aware of this attitude and working to get rid of the judgment.

Hi Susan,

First I wanted to tell you that I'm so very sorry to hear about your house fire.

Second, thank you for writing such a wonderful column. The information/advice is invaluable!

Finally, thanks for taking the time to review my book and thanks for helping me with the mailing mix-up. Again, I'm so sorry about that!

Have a wonderful day -

You have Saturn (learning) in Leo (playfulness). Maybe that's what happens to Saturn in Leos as they hit their 2nd Saturn Returns?
