Getting Ready for Pluto in Capricorn

My Saturn return will soon be over, as challenging as it has been, it has also been rewarding. Each day I wonder what Saturn is bringing. Due to the smoke and water damage in my home, I have learned the value of material possessions that are "used". Saturn protects those things that are deemed necessary. Many of the things that are practical and useful were saved, those things in my life that are whimsy, or unnecessary are gone.

I was surprised that my valuable crystal glassware was saved. I think of crystal as being expendable, and not something Saturn would be concerned about. However it is old and has a Saturnine presence. Saturn does like to impress.

Saturn rules elders. Out of the blue, an opportunity has come into my life to work with people age 55 and older. I have been asked to talk about, and teach, astrology to the elders in my community. I consider this an honor. Even though I am now a senior, I am a baby compared to some of my students. Some of the people in my audience will be on their third Saturn return!

This opportunity also has to do with Pluto going into Capricorn next year. Pluto in Sagittarius (higher learning), recently conjuncted my natal Mercury (sharing information)in my 8th house, (occult knowledge)

Capricorn is associated with Saturn by what is called rulership, an so too Capricorn is related to elders. One of the focuses of Pluto in Capricorn will be the importance of elders, and "Sages" in our community. Luckily for me it will be a good connection.

We are already seeing how Pluto in Capricorn, who likes to reduce and restrict, is cutting down the expansion of Pluto in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is about exploring new vistas, higher education, and expansion, which at times can be overwhelming.

This is my second Saturn return and I like to think of it as entering the wise phase of my life, the phase of the "Sage". I plan to continue blogging, but less frequently for the next several months. All is in perfect order, a condition that makes Saturn happy.

I will start teaching while Pluto is still in Sagittarius, and the people that I will be working with call themselves "The Explorers".

Saturn the Builder

The saga of my Saturn return continues.

As I mentioned in my last post, due to a fire in my building, I won't be blogging very often. My access to the internet has been restricted (Saturn). This has shown me that laptops are a good choice. If I had purchased a laptop I would not be in this predicament. I hope to iron this out soon.

I finally got into my unit to see the damage. Yuk! There was no fire damage, but the smoke and water are obnoxious.

When it rains, it pours. I had just finished repainting the walls and celings that were ruined last from water damage caused by my neighbor's broken hot water tank last year.

At that time things were pretty wet and I had to throw out bags of stuff, but my astrology books and computer were safe. The same thing happened this time. Most of my possesions are waterlogged beyond repair, but my computer and astrology books are safe. Since many of them are out of print, I am very thankful. This must be a not so subtle hint that I am supposed to continue with my astrology, and give up many of my old ways.

It's ironic that my astrology business has gone up. I must have better Feng Shui. I just have to find the time to juggle all the different responsiblities and work under less than conducive conditions.

Those of you who work with the nodes know that they can be very destructive. Saturn has been squaring my natal nodes, and ascendant, as it makes its return. Planets in the degree of the nodes (natal or progressed) always bring problems. The South node tells us to let go of the old, and the north node leads us into new territory.

At the same time, Neptune (water) is opposing natal Saturn.

My place will be completely rebuilt in about 8 - 10 months. It's 20 years old. Saturn is living up to his reputation.

Thanks Madeline for reminding me about Saturn. In her comment she says, "the rebuilding certainly will fit right in with dear old Saturn. "

Pluto will conjunct my Sun next March, and make a station within one minute, what a way to prepare for a new me!

Thanks to everyone for the supportive emails.

Saturn is Up to His Old Tricks

As I mentioned in my previous blog, Saturn is playing havoc with my second Saturn return. When I looked at Saturn and the aspects, I felt that it would be very personal, since my last Saturn Return was up close and personal.

In the past few days, I have become very embroiled in the intrigues of Saturn and as I write this post I am without my home. Yesterday there was a fire in the building in which I live, I had to vacate the premises, and it may be completely gutted or torn down. Everyone is safe, and no one was hurt, that's the miracle. Saturn after all is very responsible, even when playing the devil.

Since I own the unit in which I lived it will be very complicated. Unfortunately, it will be a year or more before the building is restored.

It's quite an adjustment, somewhat of an adventure, and I'll see what type of test Saturn is bringing in the next few months. Saturn will complete it's final pass the first week of July.

Thank goodness there is a trine between generous Jupiter and Saturn this week.
Wishing You Magic and Miracles
