Pluto and Sex Scandals

Several people have commented that I haven't been blogging or publishing my newsletter. I have a file of articles, but by the time I get to them, they are old news. My focus has been on other things, I haven't had much time to write, and the literary muse has been leaving me alone until now. Any future articles will be short, (a fast read for fast times).

Pluto and Sex Scandals

Most of my training has been in classical astrology, which does not accept Pluto as a viable planet, especially when doing horary. But I can't ignore the fact that Pluto is very obvious when it makes strong transits.

We saw the damage that Pluto can do in a sign when it was in Sagittarius. Pluto affected matters related to Sagittarius and the 9th house -- higher education, the travel industry, religion, foreign cultures, (terrorism). We have had glimpses of the issues in Capricorn, problems with large gas guzzling cars, energy limitations, scarcity and drought, and problems in big business and government.

When Pluto was in Sagittarius the sex scandals were in the churches, now that Pluto is going into Capricorn, the sex scandals involve government officials. This is only the beginning. Will the government sex scandals be as big as the religious scandals?

Many modern astrologers equate Pluto with sex, either because of Pluto's association with Scorpio, or the fact that the 8th house is the 2nd from the 7th and thus the "goods" from marriage. Classical astrology does not teach that the 8th house has anything to do with sex. In classical astrology, the 5th house is equated with sex - it's supposed to be fun!

Pluto enters Capricorn in early 2008. When a planet is about to leave a sign, it stirs up matters related to both the sign it is leaving and the sign it will enter. Watch the news to get an idea of some of the things that may happen.

Another insightful blog.

Regarding the issue of 5th vs 8th house, I would say yes the 5th definitely represents the "fun" and high-spirited side of sex, whereas the 8th represents the intense, more "serious" side.

The 8th represents the sexual reproductive function itself - AND also the personal & spiritual transformation one can experience through sex and intimacy. Sex magick, you could say! ;)
