The Mayan Calendar and the 26,000 Year Cycle
There is a misconception about the Mayan Calendar that has to do with its 26,000 year cycle.
The 26,000 year cycle is not the revolution of the sun around
the galaxy. That revolution takes millions of years, (about 240 million). The
26,000 year cycle has to do with the wobble of the Earth, which causes the
Precession of the Equinoxes. .
By the way, the Mayan calendar is doing a reset; it's only
the end of an old cycle and the start of a new cycle. The world is not coming to an end; it is the start of a transformation, and the 26,000 year cycle gives this change a lot of support.
